Meet Dr. Cynthia Green

Cynthia R. Green, Ph.D., is one of America’s foremost memory fitness and brain health experts. Known for her unique ability to transform the complex, ever-changing science of brain health into practical, actionable steps we can really use, Dr. Green is a much sought-after speaker whose highly engaging, personable presentation style appeals to audiences of all ages and interests. 

Dr. Green received her Ph.D. in clinical psychology from New York University. She has served on the faculty of the Mount Sinai School of Medicine since 1990, where she is currently an assistant clinical professor in the Department of Psychiatry. Dr. Green is a recognized expert in the diagnosis and treatment of Alzheimer’s disease, having served as co-principal investigator on a number of clinical trials that evaluated treatments for this condition.

In 1996, Dr. Green founded The Memory Enhancement Program at the Mount Sinai Medical Center, the first program of its kind in the U.S., offering a unique and innovative approach to enhancing memory fitness in healthy adults of all ages. In 2000, Dr. Green founded Memory Arts LLC, a company that provides brain health services to organizations, corporations, and individuals. Dr. Green continues to serve as president of the company and in 2015 became CEO of TBH Brands, LLC, home of the Total Brain Health program and TBH Toolkits, a series of "out of the box" courses and programs on memory improvement and brain fitness especially for active aging and fitness settings.

Dr. Green is the author of five books on memory fitness and brain health, and appears frequently in the media as an expert on the topic. She has been a featured guest on Dr. Oz, Good Morning America, The Early Show, 20/20, Fox News, CNBC, Martha Stewart, and National Public Radio’s “Talk of the Nation,” as well as in the pages of Time, Newsweek, The New York Times, The Washington Post, The London Standard, Good Housekeeping, Prevention, and Parenting. Dr. Green is a regular featured contributor to the Huffington Post and publishes her own blog, Total Brain Health.

Originally from Greensboro, N.C., Dr. Green resides in northern New Jersey with her husband and their three children.
